  • The public is encouraged to attend Coeur d'Alene Public Schools Board of Trustees meetings or watch via live stream on YouTube (www.youtube.com/cdaschools271). As elected officials, the Board of Trustees are interested in public concerns and opinions, and encourage participation in the District. Comments via email are welcome: trustees@cdaschools.org. 

    Board Meeting Calendar for 2023

    The Board of Trustees of Coeur d’Alene Public Schools meets regularly on the second Monday of each month. Please note the change in meeting schedule from previous years. Meetings begin at 5:00 p.m. and are held at the Midtown Center Meeting Room, 1505 N. 5th Street, Coeur d'Alene, unless otherwise noticed.

    Generally, the fourth Monday of the month will be set aside for special meetings, workshops and/or forums as needed in accordance with Idaho Code 33-510 and 67-2343, and will be noticed separately in BoardDocs. Draft meeting minutes are available in BoardDocs within 3-4 working days after a meeting, and will be part of the permanent record after Board approval, which occurs at the next regularly scheduled board meeting.

    Public Comment

    If you wish to share your thoughts and suggestions with our Board, there are several ways you can do this:

    • Address the Board directly during the public comment section of a regular meeting by signing up in-person prior to the start of the regular monthly meeting.
    • Submit written testimony or comments for the Board at any time to the Clerk of the Board at marianne.southwick@cdaschools.org.

    Can't Make It? 

    If you cannot attend a regular meeting in person, as a courtesy, meetings are streamed live on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/c/CdASchools271. They will also be broadcast at a later date on CDATV Spectrum Cable Channel 1301. Note that only regular monthly meetings are audio/video recorded, but minutes for special meetings are available.  

    Public Records

    Our district strives to make all records public, unless exempt in accordance with Idaho Code Title 74, Chapter 1, Sections 74-103 and FERPA regulations and guidelines. This information is updated monthly, or as required. All public information must be submitted in accordance with Idaho Code 74-102.

Clerk of the Board, Marianne Southwick

Marianne Southwick began on Monday, April 25, 2022 as our new Clerk of the Board. 

Marianne comes to us from Palmer, Alaska (a 749-hour walk from here) where she was an administrative assistant for the Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District. Her daughter lives in Coeur d'Alene, so she already has a community connection.

“I have worked for the Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District for 17 years as a paraprofessional and administrative secretary in the Office of Instruction, and am very excited to learn the role of Clerk of the Board and continue my career working in a K-12 district.”

Marianne was born in Anchorage and grew up there. She has lived in Salt Lake City, in the Seattle area, and for the past 19 years in Palmer. She has four children living in different states, and one granddaughter who also lives in Coeur d’Alene.
