Each March, we celebrate National Nutrition Month. Let this month be a time to promote the benefits of eating a healthy diet with your family! Eating a healthy, well-balanced diet has many benefits such as lowering your health risk for chronic diseases such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Eating healthy foods gives your body the vitamins, minerals and nutrients it needs to stay strong and live a longer life. Eating healthy can actually be cheaper as you tend to prepare food at home rather than buying less healthy choices when eating out. To learn more about the benefits of healthy eating with your family as well as to find some delicious recipes that you can make together, check out this month’s school menus.
