Welcome to Curriculum
The curriculum in the Coeur d'Alene School District reflects our district's interpretation and application of the Idaho Content Standards. Teams of teachers with community input create rigorous expectations for student performance and describe the knowledge, skills and dispositions students need to master their coursework and succeed in today's society.
The guides presented are for classroom teachers to use as they plan instruction. We strongly believe that our curriculum, which aligns content, instruction and assessment, provides each student a rich and robust education, resulting in student achievement.
Here you will find course offerings as well as scope and sequence, grade level expectations, state and district standards, adopted textbooks, and other curriculum-related resources.

Idaho Content Standards
All students in Coeur d'Alene Public Schools will take coursework aligned with the Idaho Content Standards and measured through ongoing, embedded assessments. These standards are to be used as a minimum threshold by every school district in Idaho in order to establish some consistency in academic content statewide.
In many cases, course content in Coeur d'Alene may be more rigorous than these state content standards. Idaho reviews and revises, when needed, all content standards on a six year review/adoption cycle.
