My name is Ben Dodson, and I am eager and excited to be a member of the Canfield Middle School Language Arts Team. I am a graduate of Lewis-Clark State College where I earned a BS Degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement as a Reading Specialist (K-12 Literacy). This will be my third official year teaching and I can't imagine being anywhere but here at Canfield. I was a student here from 2004-2007, afterall!

The Language Arts curriculum, in many cases, will be taking on a new identity this school year as we explore ways to make what students are exposed to inside and outside the classroom as engaging and meaningful as possible. 

Through the use of inclusion, hands-on learning, and taking on the role as a mutual learner, I will create an educational environment that not only stimulates the minds of students during class, but also cultivates and nurtures a genuine desire to explore and internalize all that the world around us has to offer.
