Full-Day Kindergarten - No tuition
Our district provides full-day kindergarten at Borah, Bryan, Fernan STEM, Winton and Northwest Expedition elementary schools. These full-day classrooms are tuition-free and funded in part by federal Title funds as well as local levy funds. (Education funding from the state of Idaho only covers the cost of half-day kindergarten programs.) Studies show that students in full-day kindergarten benefit from more time in reading, writing, math, social skills and other learning activities.
Full-Day Kindergarten - Tuition
The District now provides full-day kindergarten options at six other elementary schools. This began as a pilot program in 2018-19 and was expanded for the 2019-20 school year. This program expands upon the traditional half-day kindergarten program, allowing parents to pay tuition for an extra session so their child may attend full-time.Full-day, tuition-based kindergarten classrooms are available at:Atlas ElementaryDalton ElementaryHayden Meadows ElementaryRamsey Magnet SchoolSkyway ElementarySorensen Magnet SchoolThis program is currently full with a waiting list.
