We know that every student has a career dream. It’s our goal to make that dream a reality by helping you discover your potential. Our online career exploration system, Career Cruising, will guide you through discovering your interests, skills, abilities and learning styles and see how they connect with a future career. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with real professionals in our community that will help coach and advise you as you move toward your goals.
Career Matchmaker & My Skills
Learn about yourself and what careers match your interests, skills, learning style and abilities/capabilities. Use this information to further your career exploration and see what’s possible. Enjoy one-click access to hundreds of up-to-date, detailed occupational profiles designed to bring the real world into the classroom and inspire imaginations. Profiles include real-life job descriptions, interviews, typical working conditions, required education and training, expected earnings, plus links to related occupations and other useful resources specially chosen to encourage further investigation.
High School Course and Career Planning
Create a complete 4-year program of courses in alignment with graduation requirements and career aspirations. Track and pursue post-secondary education and training opportunities.
Use tools and information to guide the college exploration and application process. Compare colleges, universities, technical schools, and training programs. Use the application tracker to apply for college and manage the admissions process.
Use the scholarship wizard to find scholarships specifically available to you. Apply for and manage financial aid and scholarship applications. Create a living portfolio that includes your resume, activities, actions plans, to-do lists, and culminating project artifacts. Keep everything in one place!
Test Drive a Career
Have a real-life learning experience by connecting with a local professional in a career field you are interested in. Connect with a Career Coach or Mentor, or ask career-related questions on a virtual message board. Browse available internships, job shadows, and other work-based learning opportunities. Search for a service learning or project-based learning opportunities.
