After receiving my Bachelor of Science in Education Degree in 2005, I taught in the Lakeland School District for 12 years. Both of my children attended the school I taught in and graduated from Lakeland. I taught in a second grade class for all 12 years. It was a wonderful experience to raise my children and work in a close community. Four years ago I heard that there was a position open at Woodland Middle School. I saw it as the next chapter in my career, and I am so thankful I took the step to apply. This will be my fourth year teaching at Woodland, and I've enjoyed every day.
I am passionate about working with our youth to inspire and support them in becoming lifelong learners.
Outside of school, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my family and friends. We live in a beautiful area that has so much to offer. One of my favorite activities is hiking. I love the challenge of making it to the top of a mountain and experiencing the serenity of being out in nature.
