Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act

Inaccordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, asamended in 1997, the Coeur d'Alene School District 271 of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho,hereby gives notice to all parents, legal guardians, and students eighteenyears of age attending the Coeur d'Alene School District schools that thefollowing information is being categorized as directory information: thestudents name, address, telephone listing, graduation year (grade level),participation in officially recognized activities such as sports, weight andheight of members of athletic teams; and, degrees and awards received.

Directory information may be published and released by theDistrict without prior consent of the legal guardian or student 18 years of ageor older, unless the parent, legal guardian or student 18 years of age or oldernotifies the District that the above mentioned directory information should notbe released without prior written consent of the parents, legal guardian orstudent 18 years of age or older. Such notification should be in writing andaddressed to Lynn Towne, Clerk of the Board of Trustees, 1400 N. NorthwoodCenter Ct., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 83814, and to the principal of the schoolwhere the student attends. Pursuant to Idaho Code 92-318, notice is herebygiven that the Title IX Officer for the Coeur d’Alene School District is KellyOstrom, Human Resources Director. Inquiries, complaints and informationregarding Title IX should be directed to the Title IX Officer at 1400 N.Northwood Center Ct.,, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
