I am a graduate of the University of Idaho with a Bachelors degree in Music Education. My teaching background includes private saxophone and vocal lessons, substitute teaching in the Lewiston School District, and student teaching in Asotin Washington before joining the Lakes family. I like to ski and rock climb and in the summers I work as a whitewater raft guide! Lakes Middle school choirs focus on all sorts of choral music and technique. We work on more traditional music as well as jazz and contemporary music to build a well rounded understanding of what it means to sing in choir. I love working with students and exploring the potential for music making that each child possesses. I teach musicianship and professionalism through collaboration in the music setting. I love seeing students grow and learn as they work together to create music they are passionate about and work towards performances they can truly be proud of. As always I look forward to a very fun year of seeing familiar faces and getting to know new students! Go Wolverines!
