Success begins with attendance. Success begins with attendance! At the Coeur d'Alene School District we promote two attendance campaigns to educate and motivate our children and their parents, to make daily school attendance a priority, and helps to reduce chronic absenteeism.
Make Every Day Count Attendance Campaign
Success begins with attendance! The “Make Every Day Count” attendance campaign educates and motivates our children, grades K through 12, and their parents, to making daily school attendance a priority, and helps to reduce chronic absenteeism. Children are further inspired to achieve perfect attendance by incentive awards, drawn weekly from the district’s attendance rolls. Incentives will include gift cards, movie passes, iPads, and other prizes.

Dear 5th Grade Parents,
Once again, Parker Toyota wants to encourage and reward "Perfect Attendance" for 5th grade students. Over the past years, more than 1,000 students have earned bikes.Note: the purpose of the program is not to encourage students to attend school when sick or contagious to others. (For example; students with flu like symptoms or fevers will not be allowed to stay at school.) Please make sure your child understands this.
Perfect Attendance guidelines to earn a bike include:
■ Full attendance for all four quarters of school
■ No tardies
■ No early releases
We recognize that families sometimes have important events that may cause a tardy or absence. This is a family choice and we must follow consistent policy for awarding these bikes.
A big thank you to Parker Toyota for their generosity! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call your school principal or me at (208) 664-8241.
