  • Hello and welcome to 3rd grade!! This year will be a year like no other!! We will be connecting and building a new school and working together with  families in a  whole new way! I can't wait to get to know and work with each of the families in my class. We will be working on projects and learning new things all year long.

My husband and I have been in Coeur d'Alene area for 6 years. My family is originally from Montana and I am most recently from the far northern region of California, nestled in the Redwoods along the Pacific coast. I am so thankful that I moved from one pretty area to another, and that this region has all four seasons( I really missed them while living on the coast).

I am a life long learner and am always looking at what I should learn next! I recieved a double Bachelors degree in Sociology and Anthrology from Humboldt State University. I then realized that working with students was where I felt I belonged. I continued on and got my elementary and secondary science teaching credentials, also from Humboldt State. After a few years of working with students, and in particular struggling readers,  I went back to school and got a  Master of Science in Reading education from CSU Fullerton. This is my 12th year in education and I have taught students of all ages from K-8.

I love spending time by the water. Oceans, rivers, lakes. I enjoy them all. I get out on my kayak as often as I can! There is just something so calming about being out on the water. You can also find me burried in a book(with one or both of our cats on my lap), out star gazing with my telescope,  spending time trying to out-smart and out manuver my family and friends at board games, or on Facetime with my nieces and nephew.

I look foward to this new adventure! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me through Schoology or email me at: nbrown@cdaschools.org. I will get back to you within one working day.

If you have questions that are more immediate, feel free to call our office at: 208-758-8484.
