A little about me:
This is my 6th year teaching Kindergarten at Bryan Elementary and I cannot be more blessed to be spending this year with your child. Kindergarten has been my dream grade from the moment I stepped into my own kindergarten classroom all those years ago. They say that a great teacher has the ability to leave a lifelong impression on you and I can attest to this. My love of teaching began from the age of 5 with my very first teacher.
I attended Elementary and Middle school in Vermont, part of High School in Colorado and then graduated in Idaho. I received my Associates of Elementary Education from North Idaho College and my Bachelor's in Education from Lewis-Clark State College. In addition to my Bachelor's degree, I also hold endorsements in Special Education and Literacy. My plan is to work towards my Master’s in Education later this year.
I have a wonderful husband named Jonathan who is an architectural drafter working at a firm in Spokane, Washington. Together we have been married for 17 years. We have two amazing children who are both students here in the district. My son Noah is 16 and attends Lake City High School and my daughter Lauren is 11 and starting her first year in middle school at Lakes (she is formerly a Bryan Bear herself).
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family, crafting, going to the movies, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors of North Idaho.
I can't wait to see what the year brings as your children grow and blossom into mathematicians, readers, writers, scientists and so much more. Let's make this a magical year!
