Welcome back from CDA Health Services and Your School Nurse!

Our dedicated nursing staff is committed to the health and wellness of each student, providing safe quality nursing care and education to District 271 schools. We work collaboratively with the educators, administrators, support staff, students and families to remove or modify barriers to learning that are caused by health-related issues and focus on promoting an optimal level of wellness so learning and teaching abilities are maximized. Please click on tabs to the right for the district Health Services web site, health Information from other sources and  current issues.

Health Conditions: Please report any health issue your child has that could impact safety and learning at school to the school nurse. You can contact the nurse directly by phone or e-mail. It is important you update your student's health registration form once a year so the school nurse is aware of any new or ongoing health concerns.

Life Threatening Health Conditions: If your child has an  anaphylaxis allergy , asthma, diabetes, seizure disorder, heart disorder or other life threatening condition,  please contact the school nurse  and complete the appropriate forms on the Health Services Web site (2020-21 School Health forms) If your child needs any medical treatments at school please notify the school nurse.

Medications: If your child takes or needs to have any medication (prescription or over the counter) at school we need a medication authorization form signed by a licensed health care provider and parent for each medication. The medication should be brought to the office by an adult. Please see the link on our Health Services Web site (2020-21 School Health forms ) for the appropriate documentation that needs to be filled out.

Immunizations: Please provide updated immunization information to the school so that state requirements can be accurately recorded and your child is protected from vaccine preventable diseases. Please see the link for  Idaho requirements and schedules
