When I was four years old I begged my mom to let me go to school.  I was a September baby so my birthday landed 4 days before the cut off day and my mom was considering keeping me home for one more year.  For some reason she listened to the whims of a very determined younger version of me and, well, I guess I just knew where I needed to be!  I’ve had good years, bad years, and everything in between, but I always knew great and exciting things could happen in the classroom and I still very much believe that!

I was born in California but I grew up in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and I am so grateful to be so close to nature and yet be near the conveniences of the city.  I went to school at Coeur d’Alene High School (go Vikings!) but it was during my time there that Lake City was opened up so I feel connected to both schools (go Timberwolves!).  I went on to get a degree at North Idaho College, Lewis-Clark State College, and the University of Idaho so I have every reason to be invested in Idaho education.

I currently live with my amazing husband and my beautiful little girl.  Both my husband and I have family in town and when I am not playing with new lesson plan ideas or playing with my daughter, I’m usually spending time with family.

It is such a privilege to work and teach at Ramsey Magnet School of Science.  I work with amazing teachers, amazing students, and supportive parents!
