    Teacher Bio

Welcome back to school and an amazing year ahead of us! I am thankful to have this special multiage opportunity as I know what a unique classroom experience it can be!

Let me tell you a little about me. I grew up in Moscow, Idaho and graduated with a Bachelors in education at Lewis-Clark State College and got my Master’s in education from the University of Nebraska. I have taught grades first through five as well as Title reading, behavioral support, and science. I am a mother of two amazing and active children. My daughter attends Woodland middle school and my son is here at Atlas! We enjoy camping, road trips, snow skiing, hikes and enjoying this beautiful lake we are so lucky to live by.

I have had the great opportunity to be a part of teacher leader academy,  leadership, and intervention teams recently in my career, which has further developed my passion and purpose for teaching. I have been so fortunate to have had so many opportunities that have influenced my drive for differentiating my instruction and building a culture with students which supports collaborative learning, supporting students to gain confidence as they reach deeper and meaningful learning experiences.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to get to have this school year full of connection and growth! As a community, we will build a classroom climate of respect, safety, and predictability so that students can use agency as they persevere through challenges and gain understanding and apply it to the world around them!
