Welcome back to the the new school year!! I am excited to be teaching my fourth year at Lake City. I am a December (2013) graduate from Missouri State University. I just recently completed my graduate degree in educational administration. Two summers ago I came to Sandpoint for a wedding and fell in love with this area and the people. Once graduation was complete, I decided to take a chance and move up to Idaho to start a life. I am fortunate enough to have been hired by this wonderful institution which is allowing me to fulfill my passion in education.
The classes I will be teaching this year are American Government, World Geography, and Sociology. My educational philosophy is based on student engagement, class discussion, and the development of perspective. To make this simple, students will enjoy my class and look forward to walking in the room and being active participants. Also, students will feel comfortable in my classroom environment. Group discussions drive a major part of my lessons/class activities and respect must be maintained for all who participate.
Other than being in the classroom I enjoy a plethora of other activities including: football, playing guitar, reading history literature, working out, fishing, etc.
I look forward to the start of the school year and meeting you all!
