• Technology Professional Development

The Coeur d'Alene School District strives to assist teachers and staff members in meeting the ISTE National Educational Technology Standards (NETS).  The district wholly believes that in order to prepare their students for jobs in the future workforce, educators must be proficient with technology. Consequently, technology staff development continues to be a high priority in the district. The district has also undertaken an ongoing process to adapt the district curriculum to incorporate technology. We work hard to ensure that all students and staff have basic competencies and that we are striving to embed researched-based, best practices to innovate technology teaching and professional development across our district.

This course is designed to offer technology classes to teachers which correspond to the areas of competency in the NETS standards (Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity, Design and Develop Digital Age Learning Experiences and Assessments, Model Digital Age Work and Learning, Promote and Model Digital Citizenship and Responsibility, and Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership). All classes will have a focus on classroom applications of technology or the use of technology to increase knowledge and skills of all staff members.
