My name is Shelby Randklev and I am the Title I Reading Specialist at Fernan STEM Academy. I attended the University of Idaho and received a double major in Early Childhood Development in Education and Early Childhood Development and Family Relations. I also received my Masters of Education in Reading from Northwest Nazarene University. I have previously taught Preschool Special Education through Fourth Grade. Teaching reading and literacy is my passion and I love my Fernan STEM Academy Community.Guess where I grew up? Right here in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho!I love Coeur d'Alene and our community and when I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, 2 amazing sons, and our golden retriever. When I am not teaching I enjoy anything outdoors like camping, hiking, golfing, riding horses, traveling, and playing with my boys.Another thing I love... I bet you could guess... READING! My passion is to help all students foster a love for reading, thinking, and learning. I am a lifelong learner and constantly try to improve and refine my teaching practices so I can continue to help students rise above and beyond their potential. It is my goal to bring joy to learning and to help students find strategies that help them become successful. I want my students to have a thirst for knowledge; I want them to become confident, independent thinkers that will change the world for the better someday.
