Hello!  I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you and your fourth grader!  I am very excited to begin working with your children. Together we will be taking part in many interesting and meaningful activities throughout the next school year.  I am anxious to begin putting names with faces, and hopefully we can work together to provide the best possible educational experience for your child as this year begins!

I would like to share a little about myself.  I was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho and graduated from the University of Idaho (Go Vandals!) with a B.S. in Elementary Education.  This is my twentieth year of teaching. After graduation I moved to Boise and taught at Chaparral Elementary for four years.  At Chaparral I had the opportunity to teach both 2nd and 3rd grade in a year round school setting.  After moving to Coeur d’Alene I had the privilege of teaching first grade for five years at Skyway.  I taught fourth grade for 4 years and six years of 5th grade!

As a teacher I believe that each child is unique, each child has a specific learning style, involvement of families is critical to student success, my classroom programs must be designed to fit the needs of my students, and finally, activities must be both age appropriate and individually appropriate.

I have a beautiful daughter named Lila and she turns 11 this December. Lila is a fifth grader this year. My son Luke is 14 years old and is an eighth grader with the CDA E-School!  I love being a parent! I recently married Andy Beaudry.  Andy manages JAMMS Frozen Yogurt and also coaches Coeur d'Alene High School baseball.

I enjoy weekends on the lake and stand up paddleboarding. I also enjoy reading, fantasy football, gardening, and spending time with my family.  More than anything I love working with children and can’t wait to begin what will surely be a wonderful school year!

I hope you will be able to come and take part in or simply observe one of the most important aspects of your child’s life.  My classroom door is always open to you! Please feel free to contact me at anytime if any questions or concerns may arise. I can be reached at school between 8:15 and 9 am or after school until 3:45 pm.  I will be happy to do all I can to work through any situations that might arise!

I look forward to working with you.  What a great year we are going to have! Megan Neary
