    A Little About Me:

This is my eleventh year of teaching and I can't imagine doing anything else!  Previously, I taught at Skyway Elementary, 1st and 4th grade for three years each, and this will be my fifth year teaching 6th grade!  I am excited to be here again this year!  Prior to teaching I graduated in May 2009 from the University of Maine with a B.S. in elementary (K-8) education.  Why Maine?  I was there on a volleyball scholarship for four years and enjoyed my time on the east coast.  I was born and raised here in Coeur d' Alene and am happy to be back!   I also have earned my Educational Leadership (AKA Principal) degree from the University of Idaho in 2017.  Besides teaching, I also am also certified to teach yoga and I continuously play and coach volleyball.  My husband and I have been married for 3 years (in October).  We have a 2 year old son, who keeps us busy and always brings a smile or giggle to our household and a daughter who joined our family in May 2019.  We also have two wonderful 4 legged children, Koko, a 7 year old Pitbull/Lab mix, and Ruby, a 9 month old Golden Retirever puppy.   I love to stay active and live a healthy lifestyle, and promote this in the classroom.   In 2013, I became an Ironman for the first time, and was crazy enough to do it again in 2015!  Both were amazing experiences and I also have competed in many other triathlon and non triathlon activities throughout the last few summers.  I strongly encourage you to check Skyward consistently and please contact me (email is best) with any questions or concerns anytime.  I look forward to spending the year with your student!
