I am so happy to be back as a part of the Canfield Middle School family!  This will be my 24th year in the Coeur d'Alene School District, and I couldn't be more proud of working in such a fantastic place with a phenomenal staff.  I began my journey as a 2nd grade/K-5 Title 1 teacher at Fernan Elementary, continued my career as a 7th-grade life science teacher at Canfield Middle School, and transitioned 13 years ago to Administration.

I was born and raised in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and moved to the Northwest in 1993.  My daughters are products of this incredible school system!  My oldest daughter Sydney graduated from the University of San Diego, where she played four years of basketball in the WCC.  She is now a Registered Nurse in Denver.  My youngest daughter Aliyah is starting her 3rd year teaching in Montana.  She graduated from Carroll College, majoring in Education and playing volleyball for the Saints.  You will find me golfing, biking, boating, skiing, or hiking when I am not at work.  I love to be outdoors, and we live in the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful landscape!
Feel free to stop by the office and introduce yourself to me, as I would love to get to know the families of our students.  I look forward to the school year and seeing our students achieve their goals.  Let's have a fabulous year!

    Best Regards,

    Michelle Johnson
