Meet Mr. Lilyquist

  • Canfield's Principal, Mr. Lilyquist Principal Nick Lilyquist 

    Mr. Nick Lilyquist is entering his seventh year as Principal at Canfield Middle School. Mr. Lilyquist was formerly the Assistant Principal at Canfield for three years. Nick came to CMS after eight years as a seventh grade math instructor at Woodland Middle School and one year as Assistant Principal at Ramsey Elementary. This year marks his18th year in education.

    Mr. Lilyquist is married to a teacher in the Coeur d'Alene School District and has a daughter entering middle school and a son entering 1st grade in the CDA School District. Nick and his family are North Idaho natives and love living in the Coeur d’Alene community.  He enjoys mountain biking, skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and spending time with friends and family.

    Mr. Lilyquist loves being the principal at Canfield Middle School as he enjoys the students, staff, and parents.  His goal is for all of our students to be nice and grow to their potential academically and emotionally.

Meet Mrs. Hiltenbrand

  • Mrs. Hiltenbrand Assistant Principal Jody Hiltenbrand

    Mrs. Jody Hiltenbrand is entering her third year at Canfield Middle School as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. Mrs. Hiltenbrand was previously the Assistant Principal at Ramsey Magnet School of Science in the Coeur d’Alene School District. Prior to becoming an administrator, Mrs. Hiltenbrand spent over twelve years in the classroom, eleven of which were at Canfield Middle School teaching eighth grade language arts. She began her teaching career in Buckeye, Arizona, teaching seventh grade language arts. This year marks her sixteenth year in education. 
    Mrs. Hiltenbrand was born and raised in Butte, Montana. She is married to a Coeur d’Alene firefighter/paramedic, and they have an eight-year-old daughter in third grade and a six-year-old son in first grade. She and her husband are active in the community and feel blessed to call this area home. Mrs. Hiltenbrand enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as reading, traveling, and walking. One highlight for her in 2008 was spending three weeks traveling to the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and France. 
    Mrs. Hiltenbrand thinks of Canfield Middle School as a second home and family. She looks forward to working closely with the stellar staff, students, and parents for an excellent 2017-18 school year.
