Angie Beck is a Montana girl who transplanted to North Idaho 30 years ago. Her hobbies include cooking, sewing, working out, and chasing after granddaughters. The beauty of this area also inspires her to walk, hike, and pick huckleberries.

Angie Beck's philosophy of teaching is that all students can learn.  The skills taught in Family and Consumer Sciences are vital skills for a successful life.  Students are challenged to learn food preparation and leadership skills that may not be familiar or easy at first.  The abilities to maintain oneself, family, employability, and health are central to Family and Consumer Sciences. She encourages all students to do their best for a life that is the best.

Students have the opportunity to earn up to three levels of safety and sanitation.  These certifications are as follows: University of Idaho’s Ready, Set, Food Safe – Food Handler’s card, Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s Manager Certification, and the nationally recognized ServSafe manager’s certification.
