My name is Austin Hoyer, and I teach 6th grade Math at Woodland Middle School. I'm in my eighth year of teaching and enjoy every minute of it. I'm also the head boys 8th grade basketball coach.
I’m originally from Anchorage, Alaska, where I was born and raised. I moved to Idaho for school, and graduated from the University of Idaho with BA degrees in Special Education K-12, and Elementary Education K- 8. I recently completed my Master's degree in Educational Leadership through the University of Idaho. I enjoy spending time with my wife Katherine and our 22 month old daughter named Kennedy. Additionally, I like to go mountain biking, golfing, boating, skiing, playing basketball, and staying active.
I’m a dedicated individual, and look forward to the challenge of ensuring that our students achieve success in all academic areas, and to help prepare them for high school. I’m gratified to be part of such an amazing staff at Woodland, and I'm very appreciative to be working in such a rewarding field.
