Mrs. Karns' challenge: Read for pleasure, every day that you can!

Reading for pleasure increases skills almost more than anything else your English teacher can do for you!

“Most of us can't rush around, talk to everyone, know all the cities of the world, we haven't time, money or that many friends. The things you're looking for... are in the world, but the only way the average chap will ever see ninety-nine per cent of them is in a book.”     -Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451

I love reading and writing and challenging students to discover their abilities.  I ask for every student's best effort and best attitude. Every student in my class is worth educating, and I value their presence.  Learning is a partnership that can open so many doors.  I'm looking forward to a wonderful year!
