    Welcome to Northwest Expedition Academy!
I am so excited to continue Project Based Learning with the students and families here at NExA. I know this year we will tie our reading and writing skills into as many expeditions as possible. It is our belief that students learn best when immersed in their community around them.

We just became a school-wide Title Program. What this means is that myself and many of my wonderful paraprofessionals will be in classrooms to provide services to all students. Our goal is to help foster a love for inquiry as well as rigor to dive deep into the subject matter.

A little about my professional background...

I am originally from Great Falls, MT and am a University of Montana graduate. After graduating in 2010. I got a job teaching full-day Kindergarten back in my hometown. In 2011 I moved to Coeur d'Alene and began teaching in the district. I have taught 1, 3rd, and now Title and Advanced Learning. In 2015 I received my masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho.

    Finally...

I know communication and conversations are vital for all students to succeed. I welcome any and all e-mails as well as calls. Just know if you call during the school day I am working with students and will get back to you in the evening.

One of the best ways to support a school is to send us your box tops. My brother always includes box tops in all the cards he sends me and it makes my heart smile!
