I began working in the Coeur d’Alene School District in 2017 with the passion to support technology integration into daily lessons to enhance content delivery, increase student engagement, and prepare our children for the path of future employment opportunities!

After earning my Bachelor’s in Psychology and teaching credential from San Diego State University, I taught multiple subjects K-8 for 12 years. During that time I earned my Master of Arts in Education/Administration & Supervision before taking a position as a technology coach. I loved seeing the joy on students’ faces as I was able to address individual learning needs through technology and I still take great joy from supporting teachers do the same.

When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband and our 4 children, ages 6-19, who keep our lives fun and busy.  I learn new ideas from them every day as they tell me about their days, including what inspired them and what had the opposite effect.  We are so grateful for the beautiful town we live in and for all of the activities and experiences it provides.

I began my career in Southern California as a middle school reading intervention teacher. After two years, I moved to a local high school and spent five more years as a high school English teacher, while working toward my Master's degree in Educational Technology. I currently work as the Instructional Technology Specialist for the Coeur d'Alene School District in Northern Idaho.

My days are spent working with teachers, learning new technologies, and hanging out with my wife, daughter, and son. We moved back to Idaho in 2012 and enjoy being back in the Pacific Northwest and close to family.

I am honored to be able to work with teachers and students in the Coeur d'Alene School District to incorporate technology into classroom routines so students are actively engaged in thinking and learning. I am a proponent of student use of technology in the classroom and the use of cloud-based and Web 2.0 technologies. I see technology as a tool that teachers can, and should, use to engage students, help them build personal efficacy, as well as hone skills that will allow them to become productive and successful members of our society.
