    ABOUT ME:

After graduating from Coeur d'Alene Highschool, I received my undergraduate degree in Human Biology with a minor in Math at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. I then went into the United State Peace Corps and spent two years in South Africa volunteering with teachers at seven schools to implement more science and math. Upon returning to Coeur d'Alene, I worked at the Children's Village. Then, I headed to Seattle and worked as an assistant teacher at a Montesorri School and a school that implemented the Reggio Emilio Philosophy of education. I later headed to Bellingham, Washington to receive my teaching certificate at Western Washington University. I taught in Bellingham for two years before coming back to Coeur d'Alene where I taught 4th grade for five years at Dalton and Fernan Elementary. In 2010, I took a leave from the district and headed to Istanbul, Turkey to teach at an International School for two years. After that I decided to come back to the states and got recruited to teach 6th graders at Lakes Middle School. This is my 10th year teaching at this wonderful school! In 2018 I earned my Masters in Educational Leadership and will always continue to grow as an educator through professional development. I am passionate about teaching and have grown and learned from all of my experiences in education.
