Daniel Bell

This year at Lake City High School I will be teaching Theater 1 and 2, Improvizational Theater, Play Production, and StageCraft.  I am so grateful to Mrs. Seaton and the amazing work she did building and sustaining the LCHS Drama Department, and it is an honor to take up this mantle.  I was a student in her class. I was lucky enough to Student Teach with Mrs. Seaton, and I have had the pleasure of working with her these last 9 years at LCHS.  Although I have been teaching AP Physics and Physical Science for the last 8 years, I have been very active in local community theater via the Lake City Playhouse, Modern Theater, and CdA Summer Theater.

I attended the University of Idaho and I am highly qualified in the areas of Theatre, Speech, Physics, and English. My favorite things to do include playing/camping/watching movies/hanging out with my wife and four children, barbecuing, playing D&D, snowboarding, reading, and volunteering for the Lake City Playhouse.

I was born in Rigby, Idaho and am one of seven children.  Living with so many siblings helped me learn how to get along with many different people and the importance of love and acceptance.  Growing up, I developed a deep love of reading and always thought that he would grow up to be a famous author.  Then came Jr. High and the glories of basketball.  For a while I dreamed of NBA stardom and figured that, since he was taller than everyone else in Jr. High that he had a pretty good shot.  Well, that didn't work out.  After injuries and setbacks, I found a new purpose in the performing arts by joining choir and theatre.  To this day, singing and performing are a huge part of my life.  I served on the Board of Directors for the Lake City Playhouse for 8 years, and continue to find time to perform.
