Welcome to 5th Grade!  My name is Sarah Irving and I am looking forward to another amazing 5th grade year at Hayden Meadows!  I have taught grades 2nd-5th throughout my teaching career and while each grade level has its perks, I absolutely LOVE teaching 5th graders.  My mission as a teacher is to provide a cheerful and challenging environment where all students feel valued, heard, and can learn and enjoy school as a supportive community.  I hold all students to the same high expectations and they consistently rise to the challenge! 

I received a Master’s Degree in Education from California Baptist University in 2005.  I am continually seeking out professional development opportunities to grow as an educator so that I may provide my students with the latest and greatest resources and learning strategies.  When not at school, I enjoy snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, camping, and traveling with my family.
