In order to make certain all our students receive appropriate educational supports, Coeur d’Alene School District 271 conducts a mid-year residency verification. Residency is defined as where your family sleeps at night. Has your residency changed since September 4, 2018? If yes AND if any of the following statements are true for your family, please contact your school counselor or the Coeur d’Alene School District McKinney-Vento Liaison, James Curb at 208-664-8241 ext. 10061 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about educational services that may be available to your student(s) and family.
**FREE SCHOOL SUPPLIES** Thanks to donations from local businesses and our Home on the Homefront team, backpacks, and school supplies are available this year for those in need. To request supplies, contact the CHS front office sometime between August 27 and the first day of school, September 4. Questions? Call the district office at 208-664-8241 or email email@example.com.

Coeur d'Alene High School continues to create a positive, caring and safe learning community that establishes a sense of ownership shared by all stakeholders. We value and hold ourselves accountable for positive and enthusiastic behaviors and attitudes each day.
Our administrative team is here to serve you this year. Bret Heller, Principal, Libby Barrett and Bill White Assistant Principals and Mike Randles Activities Director/Assistant Principal.
The ultimate goal at Coeur d'Alene High School is to provide the highest quality education to our students. We will aim for learners to reach their full potential academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Instruction will be purposeful; it will differentiate to meet the needs of all students; regular feedback will be given to all participants.
The single most important priority of Coeur d'Alene High School is our students. The school community works cooperatively together for the greater good of everyone involved.
Even though it is still summer, we are excited to get the year started. We have already begun discussing our goals for the upcoming school year. Two of the goals we are adamant about are:
Welcome to Coeur d’Alene High School!
This is a school that embraces innovation while also honoring and celebrating the tradition of excellence that has long defined what it means to be a Viking.
Everything we do at Coeur d’Alene High is centered around what is best for our students and preparing each student for career and college success. As a school, we want to create partnerships with students, parents and our community that will allow Coeur d'Alene High to be the best possible place for students to learn.
As a CHS graduate, I’m honored and humbled to be a part of this amazing staff, and I’m excited to get to know the students as we work together for their future success!
Bret Heller, Principal
