• this happy guy here My name is Chris Regan, and I am thrilled to continue to work with the Canfield staff.  I want to welcome you to your design technology classroom.  Together we will be using best professional practices to explore, engage with, and make sense of 21st century occupations and products.  I look forward to working with you all this school year.  Our classroom will utilize a blended learning approach where a significant portion of work, instruction, and interaction will be done with the assistance of technology.

Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Chris Regan

I have a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho with a focus in middle school mathematics. I am the coach of the Canfield Robotics Team, and mentor to the coding club.  I enjoy computer and board games; I collect LEGO and comic books.  I enjoy flying drones, riding bikes (motorized and not), running, and drumming.

I have many years of blue collar experience prior to my teaching career.  I have been: Baker, Cook, Salesman, Server, Bartender, Ditch Digger, Technician, Candlemaker, Management, and several other positions.  I try to use this varied experience to give a broad view of the real world for students.

I hope to bring my interests into the classroom to make our learning exciting and engaging for all students.  To do this we may at various times discuss: zombies, comic books, superheroes, animation, science fiction, and many of my other interests.  We will explore real world problem solving and use our shared interests to give context to our classwork.
