Hello. My Name is Jayna Mills. I am a Mathematics Teacher here at LCHS. I did manage to retire for one year. Now I am back, teaching halftime, filling in for open positions!
I am a Coeur d'Alene High School graduate (1982)! My parents are also Coeur d A’lene High School Graduates (1958 and 1959), as well as all of my brothers and sisters (1978, 1980, 1985, 1987, 1990)! GO VIKINGS! I missed teaching my youngest sister by 2 years. My brother Mr. Taylor, also a Math Teacher in the district, started his teaching career in 1986 at CHS. He was there to look over our two youngest sisters. He’s always been a great big brother! He managed to get to be retired for two years, before coming back to work halftime. We actually share the job here at Lake City High School.
My Children are LCHS Graduates (2006, 2017)! GO TIMBERWOLVES! I really do have the best of both worlds!
I have been teaching Math since 1986. I started at a very small town in Montana, and was there for 5 years. I moved back home and began working for the Coeur d'Alene School District in 1991 at CHS. When they built LCHS, both my brother and I came here. We both went back to Coeur d'Alene High School in 2012 to help fill several open Math positions there, and then we both retired for that short period of time. And now, we are both back here at LCHS. Crazy Travels, I know. But so wonderful to get to be both Vikings and Timberwolves!!!
I'm looking forward to a fantastic school year! :)
