I was born and raised in Moscow, Idaho. I graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Sociology. My teaching experiences include 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 6th grade, Special Education, and thirteen years in 5th grade at Atlas Elementary. This is my second year at Lakes in the Art Department.
This year I will be adding a full ceramics program and a leadership program to my schedule. I am so excited to bring my passion for the arts and my curator mindset into creating an enviornment of expression. In the past five years, I have been a part of many trade shows as well as published an article in a national art magazine. I have been on many leadership teams at the building and district level, and love sharing what I love with other educators.
I have been married for sixteen years and have two boys. Jordan is twelve and Gibson is ten. My husband also teaches at Lakes in the PE and Health Department. We are both passionate about teaching and helping mold the next generation. We spend our time outdoors whenever we can and love watching our boys play football, basketball, and snowboard.
