A new version of the exam, the ISAT Science tests are now required in grades 5, 8, and 11 and its items directly align to the Idaho Science Content and Performance Standards - adopted in March of 2018. The items allow students to demonstrate their mastery of science and engineering practices, and crosscutting concepts imbued within the life, physical and earth and space sciences.
The ISAT Science assessment was to be first piloted in the spring of 2020, but cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The exam will be first administered in the spring of 2021 as a field test. First results are expected in the spring of 2022.
