Hi my name is Amy Sheppard and I am one of the Special Education Teachers here at Coeur d'Alene High School. I teach 9th thru 12th grade ELA and I also co-teach the ELA Boost classes. This year we are offering an Academic Enrichment class that I will be co-teaching with Mr. Sonntag. 

This is my 8th year teaching. I previously worked at Lakeland High School teaching Special Education ELA, Math and a Study Support class as well as Special Education ELA at Canfield Middle School. I currently hold a degree in Elementary Education, Masters in Special Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership. Not only do I enjoy teaching, but I love being a student myself.

I have 4 children, 3 girls and one boy. We have a very busy schedule and we seem to always be on the go. Outside of school I love to spend time with my family and friends. Summer is my favorite time of the year, not because I am not working, but because I love the sun and the warmth. 

I am beyond excited to be a part of the CHS Viking family and I look forward to growing as a teacher this year. We already know that there will be challenges that we face for the 2020/2021 school year, but we are a family that is united here at CHS and together we will navigate the waters and make it to the other side.
