Middle School College & Career Advising
The choices and attitudes you develop now will help pave the way for success in high school, college, and career. The Middle School College & Career Advising Program is here as a resource to help you make the most of middle school and be prepared for the future.
The Coeur d'Alene School District's goals for the College and Career Program are as follows:
- Encourage each student to find the right fit to achieve positive post-secondary placement
- Increase students' and families' knowledge of post-secondary options, preparation, and financing
- Support individual academic secondary and post-secondary path development
Hi! My name is Dani Gray, I am the College & Career Coordinator for the Coeur d'Alene Middle Schools. This is my 2nd year working in this role that was newly created last year. I spent the first ten years of my career working at several different colleges, in roles that allowed me to help students with the college admissions and financial aid processes, career services, and degree completion.
I was born and raised in in a small farm town in southern Idaho. I have a Master's of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho. I moved to the CDA area over 6 years ago to be closer to my husband's family. I love being a mom to a busy and fun 1 year old.
I am excited to be here working with middle school students and their families. I am here to help students learn about themselves and their individual strengths and interests, how that relates to a potential career, and opportunities to prepare for that career. It is never too early to start planning what you need to do during high school and beyond. I look forward to helping you explore and plan your future!
Please feel free to contact me with questions or conversation, I look forward to meeting you!
