Mrs. Scourey

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Scourey

This year at Lake City, I teach AP English Language & Composition, English 12, and Young Adult Literature. I am also honored to be a part of the T-Wolf volleyball program, helping out with the varsity team.

Although I am originally from Colorado, I moved to the Pacific Northwest to attend Whitworth University in Spokane, WA. There I received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Writing, and I played college volleyball. I also earned my master's degree at Whitworth University in Secondary English Instruction. I have some experience working in the grant writing industry, and I worked as a manager of my university’s writing center. I am excited to show students how Language Arts can help them succeed across disciplines and in their future.

Outside of school, I love to hike, run, golf, play volleyball, and visit my family in Denver, Colorado.

In my English classes, we will continue to build our reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. It is my hope that students will leave my class open to new ideas and equipped for the future.

I am looking forward to another exciting year as a Timberwolf!
