CLUB COST: $180 Due at Sign Up Day or pick up raffle tickets to sell. Raffle ticket stubs & money due by October 30th.
Have a Schweitzer or Mt. Spokane Pass? Your cost: $140. Club costs are final regardless of previously owned gear/equipment.
Students can fundraise. Don't let the cost of the club be a deterrent. Students will not be permitted to join the club after the sign up day and will be dropped if paperwork and online registration is not complete at the time of sign ups. Students can check out raffle tickets on the sign up day if they are not paying in full. No refunds will be given if partial funds have been raised.
Payment options include: selling Toyota Raffle Tickets, donating an item to the Cruisin' for Kids Auction (See Mrs. Currie for details) or paying by check made out to LCHS or cash.
CLUB SIGN UPS:
Preference given to Juniors & Seniors lined up at 12:30 on PSAT/SENIOR START Day. Numbers will be given out. Students may not save places in line for late arriving friends. Cutting in line will not be tolerated & students will be dropped.
Club maximum: 100 students + 20 for 3 trips only.
Students over 100 can attend 3 Mt. Spokane trips only. No Schweitzer. *Club cost for 3 trips: $140.
No paperwork accepted early. No exceptions. Don’t ask. Everyone must stand in line to register themselves. Be patient.
CLUB DATES AND ACTIVITIES:
Ski Trips will begin at the end of January through February and may continue to the 1st week of March depending on weather conditions. Trip dates may not be finalized until the end of November for the season and dates are dependent upon mountain availability. Weather permitting we will have 4-5 trips. Students will miss 2 school days (excused) when we go to Schweitzer. Other trips will fall on a non school day or a Saturday to Mt. Spokane. 1st trip will be the last Friday of January to Mt. Spokane.
WHAT'S INCLUDED: (weather permitting)
- 5 trips total: 2 day trips to Schweiter, 3 day trips to Mt. Spokane.
- Lift tickets at both mountains
- Lessons - required at Schweitzer for everyone, required for 1st timers at Mt. Spokane and available for beginners
- Rental equipment - skis, boots, poles, snowboards, helmets if needed
- Bus transportation - charter busses to Schweitzer, school busses to Mt. Spokane
- Gear trailer and driver
Any remaining club funds will be applied towards students. Funds may cover select Seniors to attend an Avalanche Awareness course with NIC. Money cannot be refunded if students do not attend trips or if they are injured. In the event of a serious injury, club dues will be prorated and the balance applied toward the next season.

Student Health Insurance for the entire season. It can be purchased inexpensively through the Activities Office at school if needed.
All paperwork signed - including rental forms for ALL members. (Yes - even those with their own equipment are filling out the rental forms.)
Payment made on Sign Up day, OR raffle tickets checked out.
Helmets. (Separate from club dues.) See Mrs. Currie for details. Giro Helmets can be purchased for a reduced rate. Roughly $30-35. Cheaper to purchase than rent for season. Besides… who wants to wear a “rented” helmet? Ewwww!!!
Snowboard Leashes. (Separate from club dues. They are about $10 & can be purchased from Ski Shack. They are more expensive up at the mountain.)
Ski/Snowboard Clothing. Jacket, pants, socks, gloves. Goggles & face mask recommended as well as extra socks & gloves. See Mrs. Currie if you need gear. She may be able to help & also knows where to find it inexpensively. She has a few things that can be loaned out.
