We are so excited to have you join us! 90% of our 6th graders typically participate in music. Whether you want to be in choir, orchestra, band, or even several of these, we’ll get you started! Here are some details to get you started:

Choir: Ms. Torgerson will begin rehearsal with you on the first day of school and thereafter always during your regular exploratory class. Email kayla.torgerson@cdaschools.org  with questions.

Strings: Mr. Wood will greet you on the second day of  in-person school and begin signing up interested students. Since most of you already have a Sound Innovations book from 5th grade, we can get started right away! Our classes begin on Monday, September 25th.  We will meet every M/W/F during your regular exploratory period. Email dwood@cdaschools.org with questions.

Band: Mr. Wood will greet you on the second day of  in-person school and begin signing up interested students. We will be introducing every 6th grader to the band instruments during the first 3 weeks of school.  Sign ups are open now and continue into October. We will meet on Tuesday, September 26th and thereafter each Tu/Thurs during your regular exploratory period. Email dwood@cdaschools.org with questions.
