Kathryn has enjoyed being a certified Speech Language Pathologist working in the Coeur d’Alene school district for the past ten years. She started on this career path as an intern under the wonderful mentorship of Susie Riplinger at Fernan Elementary. Kathryn then received her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders in 2005 from Eastern Washington University (Go Eags!). Since her graduation, she has delighted in serving at the Coeur d'Alene pre-school, Canfield Middle School, Winton Elementary, Skyway Elementary and Hayden Meadows Elementary. This year, she has been assigned to Dalton Elementary school and the brand new Winton, which she is very excited about.
Outside of the school setting, Kathryn also enjoys her family and traveling. She recently returned from a cruise to Alaska with her husband, Ray. Between the two of them they have four grown children and one grand-daughter. They don’t have any pets, although there are occasional moose, deer, turkey and quail that hang around the backyard. You can find Kathryn and Ray on mini trips around the local area where they camp, kayak, four wheel and hike on the week-ends.
