• The ACT® college readiness assessment is a curriculum- and standards-based educational and career planning tool that assesses students' academic readiness for college.  In the State of Idaho, this exam is one of three that can be taken to meet the statewide graduation requirement (ACT, SAT, or ACCUPLACER).

    Examination dates are shown on our district's assessment calendar and pre-registration is required at www.actstudent.org.

     

    About the ACT

    There are five sections on the national ACT:

    • English;
    • Mathematics
    • Reading;
    • Science; and
    • Writing (optional)

    Each section of the ACT is scores on a scale of 1-36 (low-high). An overall composite score, also on a 1-36 scale, is provided.
