• Miss Reed is a Teacher and an Artist! 

    She loves aiding the creativity of her students and very much believes in the therapeutic properties of Art. She sees that self-confidence can be achieved through the art making process for all of her students. Beyond her love for teaching Art she has always had an eye for detail and she likes to share this with her students! She loves creating anything with her hands! She does a lot of paper crafts in the classroom and loves to teach drawing! She likes to introduce her students to several artistic processes and cultures, including fiber arts; felting and weaving!

    Miss Reed works with PTA to create enriching after school experiences, she writes grants yearly and attends every professional development opportunity possible.  

     

    She is looking forward many more experiences in Art with the students here at beautiful Dalton!

     

    Welcome to Art Class!

     

    Miss Reed teaches Kindergarten through 5th grade Art at Dalton.

    In her class, her students will learn a variety of skills and techniques using many forms of media, while they study famous artists and cultures around the world!

     

    Miss Reed especially enjoys teaching her students to draw which helps articulate concepts and ideas in any subject.

     

    She uses the National Core Art Standards adopted by the Coeur d'Alene School District and her projects align with curriculum goals, giving her students another way to understand and display their content learning.
