Jennifer Cleave
Welcome to Room 109!
My name is Jennifer Cleave, and as a Coeur d'Alene native, I am thrilled to be working for the district I grew up in. Teaching at Dalton is a dream come true for me. Dalton's small neighborhood feel drew me to this school. I am blessed to work with such amazing families and gifted colleagues. This is my 23rd year teaching. I also have four years of experience teaching a 4th/5th multi-age class. I chose this assignment this year because I love how multi-age classrooms gel together. With so many varied abilities, strengths, and areas for growth, I find that students in blended classrooms really become family. These two grades are my favorite. They have such a desire to learn content, have a developing sense of humor, and are still young at heart.
I graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have a passion for Language Arts. Outside of school, I love to exercise and spend time with my family. I celebrated my 26th wedding anniversary last August with my high school sweetheart. I have two children, Madi and Hayden. Madi will begin her second year at Northwest Nazarene University and will graduate this year with her B.A. in graphic design. Hayden will be a senior at Coeur d'Alene High School. Go Vikings!
