Welcome back to the 2019-2020 school year! I am excited to begin my role as the reading specialist at NExA. I previously taught 4th grade here and am looking forward to getting to better know all of the students schoolwide while helping to build a community of lifelong learners.
This summer, I got married, which is why many of may recognize my face, but not necessarily my last name. I attended the University of Idaho after high school and am a proud Vandal. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and crafting. I am also a proud dog mom to two pups, Sadie and Dallas.
I am in my sixth year as an educator, where I've spent time teaching for multiple years in both 3rd and 4th grade, as well as spending some time as a special education teacher. I believe in inclusive learning environments where all students are supported and have the be opportunity to become a valued member of their classroom community.
This year, please be on the lookout for many opportunities to engage in building a lifelong love of learning with your student, as well as many opportunities for you to learn about and become a valued member of our NExA community.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. Email will typically receive the fastest response, but I welcome phone calls too if you feel that is more appropriate.
