In teaching, every year is a new adventure and this year is no different. I'm very excited to be working with the Coeur d'Alene E School as we connect with students and families, work on projects together, and develop an educational system that supports families in a new way. Please read below to get to know a little more about me.
When I was four years old I begged my mom to let me go to school. I was a September baby so my birthday landed 4 days before the cut off day and my mom was considering keeping me home for one more year. For some reason she listened to the whims of a very determined younger version of me and, well, I guess I just knew where I needed to be! Every year has been different but every year has been good and I'm so grateful to have a career that I truly enjoy.
I was born in California but I grew up in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and I am so grateful to be so close to nature and yet be near the conveniences of the city. I went to school at Coeur d’Alene High School (go Vikings!) but it was during my time there that Lake City was opened up so I feel connected to both schools (go Timberwolves!). I went on to get a degree at North Idaho College, Lewis-Clark State College, and the University of Idaho so I have every reason to be invested in Idaho education.
I live with my amazing husband and my beautiful little girl. We love to spend time outdoors, with family, and experiencing all that this area has to offer. Coeur d'Alene really is a pretty special place and I'm thankful I get to live the dream right here.
