Learn more about Hayden Meadows
Hayden Meadows, Home of the Huskies, is located in beautiful Hayden Lake, Idaho and serves approximately 550 students in grades K-5. When you walk through the doors of Hayden Meadows Elementary you will experience an environment where students are respectful and principled, engaged in the learning process, and inquiring further into concepts they are studying. Our teachers work hard to make learning fun and meaningful.
Our staff is dedicated to providing a quality education that is positive, challenging, and rewarding. We value the role parents’ play in the educational process and realize it is critical to work together to provide the very best educational opportunities we can for our students!
What makes Hayden Meadows unique? We are a school with a technology emphasis. Our school consists of a one-to-one iPad or Chromebook implementation for students in third, fourth and fifth grade, sets of iPads and computers are in every classroom. We have a technology lab, several mobil labs, and a videoconferencing system utilized for virtual field trips.
We have a self-sustaining greenhouse project managed entirely by Hayden Meadow students and staff. Each student has the opportunity to work in our greenhouse throughout the year, planting, watering, and measuring growth. In the spring students see their hard work come to fruition, taking an active role in our annual plant sale, developing customer service and money handling skills. We are extremely proud of our students and the ownership they take of our greenhouse.
Giving Back This Holiday Season
Giving back to our community is very important to our Hayden Meadows family. Through our "Recipe Pack Food Program" we are able to create "Giving Baskets" for needy families in our community. Food donations from our parents, students, and staff are used to assemble "Recipe Packs". Each recipe pack creates an easy-to-prepare, family-friendly meal that meets healthy dietary guidelines. Each grade level works together to make sure all the food items are collected to create the recipe. Donations are accepted from Monday, Dec. 4 through Monday, Dec. 18. Monetary donations are also accepted, which will be used to finish the recipe packs or purchase extra food or gas for the giving baskets. Please see the fliers for each grade level for more details.
Please note: 2nd Grade does not have a recipe pack because they participate in a different giving back project.
