On February 28, 2008 the students at Winton showed our Education Support Personnel how special
they are to all of us. They are the unsung heroes that work day in and day out with our students in small groups
or individually, keep the school clean, share wonderful books with us, run the office, serve us good food, and
plan great events like Dinner and a Book. They were honored at an assembly, given a hero luncheon and received a book or poster made by students. The books were titled, The Important Thing About.....
You are all very important to the workings of our school and we thank you!

About Our School

Winton Elementary School, one of the oldest school buildings in the area, serves 250 students from the southwestern boundary area of the Coeur d'Alene School District. Winton School draws from some established residential neighborhoods as well as rural outlying areas. Our twelve K-5 classrooms have taken "Winton - a Community of Learners," as their motto. The Winton Wolves look forward to many school activities, including our Fall All-School BBQ, skate nights, a variety of music programs, Invention Convention, Geography Bee, Spelling Bee, and Dr. Seuss Day.
