Hatched Character Web After reading the novel,
Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen, the students will use an Inspiration
software template to create a character web of Brian, the main character
in the novel.
Persuasive Essay
Research Paper
Story Elements and Inspiration Graphic Organizer - This
lesson is designed for students to understand the elements of fiction
and be able to organize their thoughts.
Trail Creek - This is a follow up activity to the Trail Creek
experience in the form of an expository essay.

Lemonade Stand - Students use the Internet to run a virtual
business.
Phases of the Moon Students will illustrate the phases of
the moon by using the handout "Birthday Moons." Students will gather
their information from the textbook and online resources.
The Rock Cycle Using Inspiration software the students
will illustrate the 5 steps of the rock cycle and insert images of
the 3 rock types obtained from Google Image searches.
The Water Cycle Students will demonstrate their
understanding of the 5-Step water cycle using PowerPoint.
