Welcome to our website. I'd like to introduce myself. I am the superintendent of the Coeur d'Alene School District, assuming that position in June 2008 after seven years as assistant superintendent and 17 years in other capacities in the Coeur d'Alene School District.
The mission of the Coeur d'Alene School District is to provide every student an academically excellent education. My personal focus and passion has always been student achievement. With the help of a dedicated and talented team of teachers, principals, counselors and support staff, our District will continue to provide classes and programs to help our 10,200 youngsters grow into successful and contributing citizens. Hopefully, many of our students will choose to use their education, skills and talents to the betterment of our community.
My leadership style is one of collaboration, transparency and courage. I want the public to know and understand the business of public education, and I consider this website to be one more facet in an array of methods that our district can use to communicate with parents, students and the public.
I hope you find our site to be user-friendly, informative and interesting, and I hope you will visit our homepage often to learn what is new in our District. We always welcome suggestions as to how to improve our site and our communication with you.
Sincerely,
Hazel Bauman
Superintendent of Schools
