Spanish

 Hola!

Bienvenidos!

At Sorensen Magnet School, we value global connections to learning.  As part of our ongoing effort to connect students to the global community, basic Spanish instruction will be incorporated weekly starting in 2008.  The goal is exposure and experience with the language and Hispanic culture.  We are excited about developing this program.  Spanish will be taught by Mr. Groth, who has traveled extensively in South America and Mexico, has studied Spanish for years, and hosted three Latin American exchange students,  and Mrs. Clemons, who lived in Mexico for an extended period, and has explored the language for years.  Both have a passion for the language, culture, and kids!

Spanish has started at Sorensen!  Third graders will gain exposure and instruction to the Spanish language each Friday.  Ask your student what they are learning (in Spanish, of course)!  Watch for all classrooms to transition into the program in the near future.
